any ballistic comparison on these? Also, is there any commercial 9mm Largo available, ie hollow/soft points? I don`t know much about this caliber, so how about you guys who do give me .02 worth on this....

I like odd ball 9mm handguns. My first recall is that the Largo is hoter and a couple of thousands longer case length. If you do a search under ammo or possibly Gunsmithing I have posted on this with references. Starline carries brass and 223 can be cut down to work. The Spanish Stars are my favorite over
the Tube guns.
CCI will not work in my guns and its hard to find.:p

Hey ER, I sent ya some CCI Blazer, some other commercial, and some Santa Barbara with that Largo. I'm not sure if the CCI can still be purchased but it was some pretty hot stuff for commercial.

Is 9mm Largo the same as 9x21?

I'm pretty sure it isn't.
From what I can remember, the 9x21 round was created in overseas markets that required private/civilian owned handguns to be in calibers other than recognized military calibers. Over time, IDPA and other sanctioned bodies have adopted and allowed the use of 9x21 but I am pretty sure that the 9mm Largo military round is a different animal.

As i remember the 9mm Largo is 9x23. Winchester was making 9x23 reloadable brass or use Starline brass. I been loading 9mm Largo for my two stars and my Astra 400 and my Destroyer carbine. I have made brass from 223 but it a little more work to trim the cases down. I use 9mm Luger reloading data to use in the 9mm Largo.
