Your trigger return spring may be weak or more likely it is binding somewhere. See the plunger pressing on the back side of the trigger? On an L1A1 that plunger has a spring on it which is inside a hole in the pistol grip. Take the grip off, remove the one screw which holds the trigger plate on and check the spring and the hole in the grip and clear out any foreign matter which may be causing it to bind. I had one that would bind some if you torqued the grip mounting screw too tightly. HTH

If its a Century gun the Century Hammer trigger sear may not be properly engageing each other or resetting properly as with a CAI guns, step 1 clean the bejeezus out of it CAI seems to take great delight in packing them with dirty grease and cosmo before shipping them. 2 after stripping and cleaning the lower real good, with the lower off the upper or with the lower open cock the hammer by hand and see if you can see where it is binding after you pull the trigger and release. then go from there. Dont suggest you do any grinding or filing on the trigger, sear or hammer but look for burrs or rough spots in any of the engagement surfaces that might polish out. Some of us have used the Cetury HTS as compliance parts in our builds and some,, eh-hmm,, "fitting " is sometimes required compared to the FSE sets or original stock parts. If the problem persists after the above you may want to have a smith look at it or simply buy another set of FSE compliance parts and try those .
