View Full Version : Any push button quick release riser mounts on the market?

I'm in the process of designing one and need to know if I'm wasting my time or not, the AR riser mount with the thumbscrews are fine, but those thumbscrews and the locking plate are just more parts to lose at the range, also I think the transition from optics to iron sights(or vice versa) would be much quicker with a push button mount, the mount I'm designing seems to be a pretty good solid, and not too overly complicated design, it will ofcoarse fit most FAL scope mounts, or most any other rifle mount that utilizes a picatiny rail, ofcoarse custom variations to accomodate other setups wouldn't be that difficult, I'm also *toying* with the idea of integrating a bullet drop comp that could be easily calibrated for different cartridges simply by painting or engraving on the new yardage measurements.... any interest in any of this? I would gladly hand the design over to anyone with the manufacturing capabilities to make it happen.
