Wish I had written down where this ammo was made when I go it yeas ago.
Copper washed steel bullet.
Plain brass case, berdan, very dark primer sealent.
Case splits common with first FN-49, not shot it in my new one.
Corosive (sp)
Head stamp
12: 1951
3: 12
6: Square inside of circle
9: 7.9 underlined and the 7 looks odd

The "square in circle" identifies it as Chinese. To my knowledge, the "square in circle" is only used on Chinese 8mm Mauser (7.92x57 Mauser "S") - it identifies the caliber and maker.

Looks like rwwje hit it on the head. Book shows "factory mark of former ROC (Republic of China) Factory No. 20". Made in 1951.
