Spring for Last rd lock (bolt hold open BHO repair tip)

Started building a G1 and found the spring was shot in the Last Rd. hold back. After getting the old spring out, (that was fun) I tore apart an old door dead bolt lock and the spring in the tumblers worked great. Just kinda thread it back thru the hole above the the slug.

Went fishing with a piece of piano wire with a hook on the end. Once you get the end out, needle nose pliers will pull it on out. Word of caution, the end of the spring can and will wound you if care is not taken. The ends are sharp. Blood cleaned up rather easily. :p

Professor Jeter sir, do you get more points if you loose more blood? How 'bout if you open a vein or an artery? How many points do you have an eye put out by a wild recoil spring?

I just want to know how many body parts it takes for a degree.:biggrin:

Thanks for the points Gary. This is the second one I've built, no blood on the L1 so it was just practice... Dang this G1 is ugly... I wuv it.:D
