Got my Imbel parts kit and receiver back from Randy and let me tell you, its one nice looking rifle. This is a list of what went into it.
Dan's grade II Imbel kit (from Dan)
Imbel gear logo receiver (from w ball)
Argentine carry handle (from w ball)
Israeli magazine release (from Gunthings)
Imbel para rear sight (from gunplumber)
DSA pistol grip
FSE h,t,s (from gunplumber)
FSE gas piston (from gunplumber)
FSE fake Belgian combo device (gunplumber)
FSE folding charging handle (from RPB)
Have been slowly gathering the parts that went into this build for a number of months. Finally got everything together, along with the funds, and sent it all off to Randy to build. Randy gave me an accurate estimate of how long it would take and kept me apprised along the way via email.
Had him cut down the barrel to 18" and use the original Imbel furniture until I decide what stock set I want to use and park everything in his nice dark manganese.
Let me say again, it looks great! :D (Must wipe drool from rifle.. hehe)
Randy test fired it and said it functioned great at a setting of 5.
Will probably have to wait until the TX Turkey shoot to give it a run myself:cry: So I just keep wiping off that drool.
A big thanks to Randy for all the work that went into this build and to all the guys that I got the various pieces parts from.
My pics don't do justice to the rifle but here goes.
