Gopher Wood (cypress)

Is the wood on turkish restocked G1's Gopher wood?
I am trying to refinish the stock & pistol grip and it's mottled--i.e. fuzzy and soft in spots, while in other areas it's firm with normal grain.
If gopher, I don't see how Noah built an ark with this stuff.

this is the stuff they built the ark of the covenant with. of course, that was covered in gold, and had cherubims on each corner.:D

So, were they pre-ban cherubims or post-ban cherubims?

Never mind, ark was used to carry the tablets, which had the 10 Commandments on them, so, definitely post-ban.

Different arks. Noah's came first, ark of the covenant (10 commandments) was later.
