Does anyone know of anyone other than Smith Enterprises that does a "Bush" conversion to M14 barrels?
That is my next project. Building a Bush rifle to go with my standard M1A.
Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find anybody else doing a conversion so I bought a factory barrel and scope mount from Springfield. I think the new barrel ran $150 or so but can't remember off the top of my head.

A new Bush barrel from SA is now $198 + S&H. Smith Enter. does a USGI conversion for $200. This includes reassembly and test firing. I had rather have the chrome lined for durability.

the last time i checked SA said the short bbls were
just gi chromelined that were shorter.
is that no longer true?
if so,it wouldn't make any sense to rebarrel a low mileage
m1a. i can't find anyone in my area that Will rebarrel only
for less than $200.

I e-mailed SA custom shop. They said, the configuration of the barrel is different, so they make up the Bush barrel from a barrel blank now. No chrome lining. Guess I'll have to do the Smith conversion since noone else seems to do it.
