Found this pic of Swedish FNC variants, the AK5.

From left to right.
Minimi, AK5 w/40mm grenade launcher and SUSAT sight, AK5 w/Surefire light forend and SUSAT and what looks like a standard AK5 but with what looks like a triangular forend. The scoped AK5s have a cheek rest on the stock and all of them have blank firing adapters.

Interesting forend attachments. And I guess that is a newer style standard triangular forend. Wish I had a better pic.

Holy Crap!! The one on the other end looks just like my 14 year old son! My grandfather, Sven Oscar Larson, came from Sweden when he was a young lad and the kid in the photo is so close in appearence to my son....hmmm...wonder if he's any relation??

Oh yeah, The Swedes trialed the FNC and didn't like it, so they built their own, the AK5.

The AK5 is a licenced copy of the FNC made in Sweden with some tweeks for the weather.

Swedes also added a BHO. A version of the Galil actually came out on top in the trials, but the FNC was cheaper to produce.

FN offers a bolt hold open as an option on the FNC most likely because it is spec'd by NATO.
