View Full Version : Butt Stock Bolt

I have a Butt Stock bolt that has no internal threads. When I went to screw my butt plate on there are no threads for the buttplate screw. What rifle uses this type of butt stock bolt?

Probably an British or Aussie inch variant, buttplate is not secured by a bolt thru the recoil spring bolt.

None that I know of. Contact the co. that you bought your kit from. They should take care of it.:p

Most probably an Aussie WOOD STOCK nut. The Brit plastic stock has threads in the nut for attaching the butt pad. The buttplates on the Aussies (wood) stocks are attached with two screws. I got three of these as replacement parts from TAPCO. Was pulling my hair out trying to chase the threads until I realized they never had any.... You can drill them and tap them 1/4 x 28 (I believe) and they work fine.

I got mine from TAPCO also. I emailed them and asked for the proper part since their ad states it has the threads.
