I have never been a big fan of the Para model FAL, although from my time here I know they are almost revered amongst the falthful (see what I did there?). The whole idea of a high power rifle in a short package just never struck a chord with me, sexy as it may look. I do prefer the 18"bbl length to the longer 21", so I figured it was worth a shot. I picked this one up locally on New Years Eve, DSA sourced parts on a Coonan Type 3, put together by Mark at ARS with all the receipts so I know that it is right. Looking forward to a trip to the range when the temps get out of the low teens.

Take a look and let me know what you guys think:

A little karma at work here with this deal, I first met the seller a little over 3 years ago to buy some AR stuff as he was getting out of that platform and into the FAL. At the time he had just bought this rifle and only had 1 mag so I gave him some mags to get him started. Guess what I got back with the rifle!

Nice !

I am a Para owner myself. IMO, they are the best of the FAL family.

I believe he says 25m when he does his testing. If you look on the underside of the rifle forward of the mag well it should be punched with ARS, location and date. Oh BTW sexy looking riFal!

Congrats on your new Para. Tiss a wonderful way to welcome in the new year!

Nice build, beautiful rifle, Mark builds a nice one. I have zero use for one and they suck to actually shoot but a para is sexy as hell. Congrats.

A Para sucks to shoot? I carried one for most of my time on active duty, and liked it lots.

On mine, I always wrapped the tubes of the rear stock with some fabric, or on my current one I used pipe insulation (grey foam type) .

Well done. Sweet looking rifle. Built by someone that does great work so you know its going to be reliable for the long haul.

Happy New Year.

Very nice. While I only have one Para- a DSA 21"- I love it. Every FAL owner needs at least one Para.

That's one sexy looking rifle. Congrats.

Very nice para SG it looks like another fine product from the ARS studios. I'm gathering parts for a frankenFal, its a DSA folder, Brit lower I got off of Adam and Sarco carrier and top cover and rear para sight and that's all I have collected so far but I'm gaining on it.

Not just a para, but an ARS para!? Apart from a factory rifle (with some exceptions), that's about as good as it gets.

Nice rifle! Can't beat one of Mr marks builds... I also only like the look of the para did not enjoy shooting it as much. Rear sling swivel screwed with my sight.

Very nice looking Para. I was about 14yrs old the first time I saw, and shot one. Didn't own one (a 50.61) until last month. Only 32yrs later!
Also, I spent some time last night on the ARS website, and noticed quite a few "themed" FAL rifles. Does anyone here have a Rhodie clone, complete with baby poop camo, done by Mark? I'm exploring my options for acquiring, or building one.
