What a damn waste. I'd love one of the Rhodie R1's.

BTW, what is the future disposition of these? Torch? Re-use?

I felt a great disturbance in the FalForce, as if millions of people cried out at once.

Yeah,

Saw the same thing but Belgian G-1 and Israeli marked receivers in Germany about 14 years ago. Some looked new.

Just run them end to end through a band saw....I'll take the ejection side of a Type I, II, II.5 & III.

Mount them all on a wood plaque.

These are being sold as scrap metal as they are...

Looks like we need to find a scrap importer over here...I'm not too far from New Orleans...

Otherwise, I need to go on a scrap metal purchasing escapade to Europe next week...FCUK that would be awesome to get our hands on...

Is that we know, that the Law Abiding, Gun Collecting, Honest American Citizen will never get our hands on such a component. Hell, we can't even get our hands back on American Made Garands that we GAVE to Korea way back when!

If you stand back a moment and look at what the Liberals and ATF has been doing...It is rather disturbing:

Imported Semi Autos: Going Going Gone (1990)
Imported Receivers:Going Going Gone (2005)
Kits...Going Going Where did they Go? (2017)
Barrels....Going Going Gone (2005)
Full Auto Registration....Going Going Gone (1986)
M1 Garands...Going Going Gone (Mid 1980's)
M1 Carbines...Going Going Gone (Mid 1980's)

ATF and Liberals are still sharpening their pencils...what is next "Lead" (Oh Wait...Going Going...just about Gone)

we run the 'banners' end to end through a band saw.

And bring all those goodies over here instead.

Guess 'shall not be infringed' wasn't in plain enough English.

I bought a couple of these in my travels and had them demilled--cut lengthwise for display. Still sitting in a box under my desk.

Not a lot, and not a large market. But cleaned up and mounted to a plaque, I'm thinking maybe $50 US. Subtract the labor and it's probably a break-even project. But I'm still interested to find out. I have no experience with customs, but I do have a guy who imports gun parts all the time. Contact me gunplumber@arizonaresponsesystems.com and maybe we can explore what is involved.
