Yes, I've had several at one time. I don't recall who did the rework on them, and as far as I could tell, they made no difference in felt recoil.

Ok, so this was slid over the metric barrel and then pinned. How long does the barrel look to you, and does it look like an Argy?

It's made by TAPCO. Looks like the large ports on the sides of the brake are 1" or so past the end of the muzzle with the brake installed. The top holes would be just past the muzzle.

It does seem that the barrels been shortened.

The flash hider sleeves over the barrel quite a ways, its possible the barrel hasnt been shortened at all. Open ear gas block is Argentine.

I'm starting to think it was refinished because the upper and lower are so close. Im hoping its not and I could make an Argy FAL.

sniffing around Gunjoker last night and saw an Argentine FMAP 'frankenfal' that looked real similar... went back to take a second look and someone snatched it...
