There is an FA91 for sale locally & I know the issues with them. There is also a bare ptr receiver for sale locally as well. If they were combined how difficult is it & what could I expect quality wise to a PTR commercial rifle?

Thanks for any insight.

Not worth it.

The FA 91 is worth the parts kit and nothing more.

A build will cost you 50% more than buying a PTR.

Thank you Mark Graham. It's sad seeing it sit in a local gun shop. They also have a C93 around the 1xxx serial. I want to get my feet wet on a hk style gun. What should I know and look for?

There is a very nice PTR 91K in the marketplace right now. It's been there a long time, and I don't think the price is out of line.

I've been tempted as it is "SBR Ready" and I have a post-sample full auto trigger pack for it. Just cut & thread the barrel an you've got a G3K.

But I have a few other things I want right now so am being conservative on spending money on toys. But it is my favorite PTR configuration.

This was the last one I had, pictured next to my "91k" (Non-SBR) conversion. I still have sellers remorse.

Nice looking HKs, have always thought they were very "clean lines" for a rifle. Sweet!
