This is my version of a minimalist FAL, i changed out the FH for a short Steyr FH (which is lighter) i also replaced the lower for DSA's alloy lower (1/2 pound lighter) and a Holland type rear sight. I added a Magpul M-lok QD sling attachment to the HG ( I had to elongate the front opening for it to fit) and for the time being a cheap "tactical" sling. I plan on sighting it in high at 250yds for a 300yd shot placement and then hold under/over as needed.

I like it. No frills, no tacticool crap, no rails. Perfect...

Looks great.

Does that grip allow the selector to go forward into auto? Like the ergo looks of it but want it for my select fire rifle. Thanks

No in fact i had to relieve it some just so i could get positive engagement on the fire position.

How do you like the ergonomics of the Zahal pistol grip compared to the std. FAL grip ?

Very nice looking setup, I have the same pistol grip, magazine release and folding charging handle on one of my FAL builds.
