What are the diameters of the different 'steps' on the locking shoulder guages?

TIA!

The size range is up to the discretion of the manufacturer.

Got it! Thanks, Wadman! So the pin is actually stepped, not tapered and it is in .002" increments. That helps alot.

For the very first run, the shop owner wanted to make a tapered rod. It could be centerless ground which is much simpler. I nixed it because you wouldn't truly know what size was actually correct.

They're about 2 1/2" long. These are Vermont guages from MSC in the range needed for the FAL

Omar and I had the same idea. I ordered the pin gauges from MSC, and although I haven't headspaced the rifle :fal: yet I'm sure they'll work well.

Plus, they come from Vermont, and that's almost reason enough to buy them!
