My adjuster nut / sleeve is tight, stuck on setting 4, need the wrench. I have every other tool but this wrench LOL. What's the best source for that? Thanks.

Scroll down this page on Gunthings site and you will find not one, but two different choices.

EDIT. Select "FNFAL Accessories" from menu on left of page and then scroll down page.

I have two types for sale here https://www.arizonaresponsesystems.com/store/store-fal-misc/store-fal-misc.html

the FN forged one is better for breaking free tight ones.

The EAI is suitable for adjusting one that is properly functioning to start. It will break (same with the DSA) if you use it to break free a stuck one.

The penultimate is one I don't sell, but fabricate for my own use, from channel locks.

I would only use the opener on a freely functioning regulator, as Mark points out. If the critter is stuck, definitely his forged "hook". I broke a milsurp Izzy adjustment tool on a frozen regulator, so I'm thinking they are probably cast.

I picked up a couple of these, including some short ones for my FAL tool rolls. Work great on both bottles and gas regs, although I confess I don't have any rusted, stuck regs to really give the critters a good test :D

I had the same problem with a gas adjust getting stuck. I stripped down the gas system and found the inner surface of the nut was rusted. Fortunately the other surface it mated against was chromed. Cleaned and rebuilt everything, replaced stiff springs with originals and now everything works like it should.

I broke two original tools in the same day..... I have been using the Grain Belt opener ever since. The old openers are actually pretty strong and I would recommend that if you want to use one of these that you buy an old one at an antique store vs. a cheap Chinese version which will bend or break. I need to make one of gp's tools. That looks to be the ticket for those tight regulators like all of my Imbels seem to posses.

Regulator or nut. You should have your ass flogged to have to use a wrench and the GB isnt hot. FAL rule for me is it turns by hand if I grab my shirt tail.

That's nice, but some of us have/had kits that came corroded or badly gas fouled, so if you want to go flog the Turks or Zimbabweans, have at it. In the meantime, let's jusytright the wrongs done be previous owners.

You want to play Ironman with a rusted G1 kit and your shirttail, be my guest. Take a video, I could use some entertainment

Yeah. Cluck cluck. It's a built rifle. Not some shit 180 IMBEL kit from gun parts guy. That regulator ... who knows. I have 20 or so sitting in a bin. Enterprise did a good job with the 500 kits but parked it before taking it apart.

Always fun removing shit like the little screw that holds the take down lever. Order one before you start digging it out

Unless you're worried about what your friends think about what you wear, then this may be the wrong forum for you, use a Swiss Army knife and save your money.

Ugh, never thought a gas wrench would be a fashion accessory! What is the world coming to? And get off my lawn! Fecker!

I've got about a dozen lowers with that screw so badly mangled that I'm cannibalizing them for the dust plate and trigger plunger saddle.

Give it a shot of PB Blaster or sumpin'.

Just an FYI:

One of my boy's works with a company that makes penetrating oil (and other chemical stuff).

I have always been a Kroil guy myself, but my boy who KNOWS this stuff told me recently that PB Blaster was the best on the market for this purpose. I do not remember if it was his product or a competitor's product. He does know this stuff though......
