It has been decades since I last disassembled and assembled an M1A.....and I had to re-learn how to put things together the hard way. The SAGE EBR stock was not a perfect fit and I had to shave off some here and there particularly where the "wings" of the trigger housing sat (maybe I needed another trigger housing?). I couldn't for the longest time make the guard close up as the wings were propping up the whole housing. The trigger guard would not shut close. Everything seems to be working now.

Folks at the 25 yard indoor range I go to will probably laugh at this set up.

And the standard coffee table shot.

This is not practical for me....it weighs a ton! Will have to look for a lighter scope, ACOG for the meantime.

I did the same thing with mine and use an IOR Valada 2.5x10 scope with hand loads. You really need to take that somewhere where you can stretch it's legs to appreciate it now. The Sage chassis makes a hell of a lot of difference in the accuracy of that weapon. The last time out for me, I had my nieces boyfriend put a round through a clay pigeon at 200 yards without ever laying his hands on the rifle before. Yes, it is a heavy beast, but it is a damn hard one to beat.

Did you mean XM21 or do I need to order another variation?

Marcoc, this is a helpful little piece for your setup. It helps improve the angle of pull on the trigger, it's worth the money.

Nice glass Art. Is that the Lupy that is drop compensated for 168gr round? If it is it is the same as the scope I use on my Savage M10. Killer optic.

Trying out a lighter SWFA scope and a new brake. Now I need to get to a range.
