So I was lucky enough to find an actual Argentine wood stock to go on my fmap rifle awhile back. Ive finally gotten around to locating a sling for it, but when I tried to attach an imbel (I think) sling swivel to it, it was much too large. The cutout on my stock is about half the length of all the swivels I have. Anybody know where I can find one that will fit? I didnít know there was that much of a difference.

If the stock cutout has a flat bottom, It probably takes an Israeli style non-rotating swivel. DSA used to have them...

Fiorina,

The wood Argy buttstock need the non-rotating swivel. I checked my boxes and unfortunately I don't have any complete left....but I do have the outer part and two screws (don't have the inner part and the loop). During the week we can meet for coffee and I can give it to you.

I moved even further south! But if we can make it work Iíd definitely be up for it.

Sarco has a rear sling assembly for Israeli stock that might work. Here's a link

You need the Belgian style assembly for an Argy wood stock (on the left):

Pretty sure those aren't original; the couple of sets I had were unfinished and poorly stamped.
