I received this rifle in trade the other day, This is my first FAL Ive ever owned.
I have right at $600 into it and i will take it out for a test run at the end of the month.
I did a quick look at the numbers and they do not match so i would think that century just put it together with parts they had laying around,

now i just need to find a carry handle and all will be good.

Imbel receiver is good.

The fact that it is a Century could be OK... or not.

Need more pics to know exactly what you have - the R1A1 label was used on all sorts of configurations (mine was all metric on a CA receiver)

You did great. The receiver can be rebuilt with existing or another parts kit, spare parts worth way more than the $50.00 premium you paid over just getting the imbel receiver.

I was thinking the same. You did well. The selector, if it has an R on it, is worth $100 alone.

IIRC: "Repeat" (i.e.: "semi")

OP you did well. The receiver alone is worth most of what you spent.

Go shoot it and report back. It is (or it can be) a very nice riFAL

PM your addy and I'll send you an appropriate carry handle.

The receiver is one of the best, worth the 6 bills you have into it. You did great if it runs, and still good even if it has some flea's. The drunken monkeys (Century) aren't exactly known for their quality...

Welcome to the addiction. :whiskey:

Actually, its "Repetition" rather than Repeat but the overall meaning is correct.
