Probably a bad idea to post this in the sig area, as most here will be fans.

I have some experience with a relative's p226 and a p229 in the past. Unfortunately, the owner has lost a battle with cancer and the family is getting rid of some things at very reasonable prices. In my time shooting the 226, i remember that ir felt really top heavy, flipped more than the 1911s and other guns short of small 380s. Also, there is a weird grip hump orprotrusion under the left grip panel that makes the gun feel like it is squirting out of your hand.
Seems like no one else makes these observations. Is it just me? It is really the only thing from keeping me from picking them up.

Bore axis is higher than say a Glock - I love my 9mm 226 but do not care for the 40 and the P series 45 was not a good performer for me during a long day at the range.

You gotta find what works for you.

Isn't the 226 the same size and general shape as a CZ99? If so, I can make really nice little groups if I remember to keep my finger high in the trigger, otherwise it shoots low to the left.
