1911 mags? Marlin Camp Carbine or MechTech.

The AR-45s I've seen that don't use Glock mags use grease gun/uzi/mac style stick mags.

I'd like one too...
About the closest currently available thing would be a .450 Bushmaster. Different cat,for sure.

I donít know if Ron is still producing them.

I got mine through Bazooka Bro. Mine uses Crease Gun Mags.

You can try

I've read of a successful build - go with 22 TCM-R (the slightly reduced power one) so it fits in a glock 9mm mag. Get a PSA glock mag lower, use carbine length gas system. Hard part will be the custom chambered barrel....

I built one, it is an easy build, mine runs well.

Getting a barrel chambered is not that hard. Plenty of barrel spinners want to take money for rifle parts. Have a pair of M11's in 380 with happy position selector. Have pair of 9mm M10's that are closed bolt semi's. Sold the only M10 in 45 ever bought as was not a fun pistol. But if wanted a 45 acp or 45 based case AR would go with M10 mags. Lots of plastic MAC mags around.

The Olympic upper works well with it, but if you have taken notice Olympic is closing up shop, maybe you can still get one

as Wolf1952 pointed out Ron Williams http://www.rmwxtreme.com

The only rifles I know off that take 1911 mags that are made in number would be the NFA 1911 carbine the de-lise (sp) enfild rifle built in silencer the camp carbine and one of the AR take them

That is it the rest are grease gun mag or glock mag maybe PX4 storm mag for the storm rifles

Why? Because there is no point in humping a big ass carbine around to limit yourself to 7 rounds in a mag or, if you want more ammo, having a mag sticking out the bottom of the gun that will act as a monopod isn't a great idea either. Glock mags are everywhere, are relatively inexpensive, are a known and repeatable commodity so the appeal of using an antiquated single stack design is understandably muted.

Overstock. Cheaply bought way too many of them last Fall expecting a HRC victory with people willing to accept anything in the following panic.
