Thinking about other hazards with the gun going off when hammer is struck. Remember Ruger paying a million because a saddle stirrup fell on the hammer of an old model single action and the gun went off and shot the guys leg off. Bump your sig with a rifle butt and you might get shot.

My really rough work 2022 that looks 20 years old after three years of regular carry at work just went through an entire series of drop tests with piece of primed brass in chamber. Dropped purposely on back with hammer down, hammer back and as high as shoulder height on concrete but did have a piece of thin PVC sheet that doubtfully took any shock out of drop but protected finish some as bounced and slid across floor. Could not make it go off. Did same test with my only striker fired carry guns (AMT 380 Backup) and could not make fire. Tried two of the three wife has let me keep. Actually not seen yet and stolen.
