I bought one of the Gen2 PA10 18" Mid-Length rifles for $599 expecting it to have extraction issues (easy fix) from all of the bad reviews but put a PA 1x6 on it and it groups better than an Armalite AR10 I have and runs without a hiccup. I am happy with it. May have to take the plunge again.

Not finding your deal but $159 Classic Lower + $399 18" Midlength .308 WIN 1:10 Stainless Steel 15" M-lok Upper - w/ BCG and CH

$560 aint that bad for a AR10 with a free float aluminum handguard and telescoping stock.

I bought a used PSA from a local guy here for $700, and it came with 5 magazines. Pretty much unfired, and soon I found out why... Either they jerked around with the factory trigger, or it had a sucky one from PSA. It was way too light and - would not fire.

A quick change to a spare RRA trigger solved that problem. Now it fires, and it functions great.

Crap, almost that much scrap value in the darn things... For $460 if it shoots great, if not, a little problem solving would not make the deal less attractive. Have been fighting a 7.6251 AR 10 for a few years and using the long actions for more unique projects. Eventually one of these daily deals is going to hit when I don't have a bunch of other irons in the fire and will have to jump on it. Today ran my little Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle in 6.8 for first time and be darned if wife is not already trying to confiscate it. Since a same M1 Garrand came home she figure little rifle for her, big rifle for me. Not understanding the Garrand is a redundant back up tool only existing to ensure can launch all of the 30-06 black tip have collected over the years if the primary goes down. What I didn't tell her is a nice little Ruger GB Factory Folder showed up at LGS today along with a factory GB stock looking for a host rifle and a stainless folder. If we're to get crazy could take the GB collection into double digits. Didn't even want to try and see if the 6.8 would drop into the spare GB stock as sure I would already have swapped it in before bringing it home. Seems like rifles are pouring out of every crack and crevice. Lots of people selling in a down market is really thinning my pockets. If buy the GB collection the pair of Kreiger 7mm-08 AR 10 barrels will get put on hold again and really wanting to build my last two receivers.

Shit, now I know why my AR10 parts weren't selling. These prices are ridiculous. I guess I'll have to build up the AR10 (DPMS pattern) from the parts I have.

What kind of groups should you expect from $560 AR-10 out of the box?

Better than an FAL at double the price.... Please don't shoot the messenger. Especially if like to take them apart and tinker a bit. Bet can drop 1/2 MOA off its out of box accuracy just properly hand fitting all the parts. Square upper, properly torque barrel nut, do a trigger job, try a few different muzzle devices and sure they can be improved upon with some labor and under $100 in parts.

Not to mention lots easier to mount a scope so you can actually aim at the same spot when shooting for groups....

Dodged a hail of bullets on that last post, now fnogger last in line of saying something negative about our beloved battle rifles. As to scopes, with the LTR device, TIG weld some pads and careful fitting have no huge complaints about optics mounting. Scope is about as snug as rifle can shoot. Midway has a sale on Sadlak scope mounts for M1a's which forced me to order a couple plus another piece of SIG glass. Have the 4-16x illuminated SIG scope cheap enough going to see if better mounts and scope upgrades help a couple of the Springfields. Bottom line is most people seem to want F Class bench rest accuracy out of an SKS with plastic stock and $99 1-200x scope w 34mm tube and 54mm objective and the mount should either be included with scope or plastic stock. Likely reason AR's so popular. With a little effort and moderate investment can get 1 MOA accuracy. Ultimate grown up Leggo sets. Realized recently upper was installing a 6.8 spc II barrel began as a TAC 20, became a 300 BO and now a 6.8 and should shoot under 1 MOA.

The one I have is running about 1.5 @ 100 with XM80C surplus. I guess you could say it has a medium heavy barrel.

For $20 more I'd get this lower.

This is my $700 PA10 adventure... IMHO, money well spent.

Accuracy is Good enough, and with a little QC on my half... I feel like I got a bargain.

These are kind of what put my FALs to bed when it comes to deer season. Chambered in 308 so 7.62 compatible but suitable for all those deer hunting rounds. I got mine when the price fell - not this low though. Gen 2 uppers and lowers. No issues so far.

Get much cheaper and won't even have to clean anymore. Just shoot till starts gumming up, discard and replace with new. They need to quit this as tempting me and have two more Ruger GB Factory Folders in my sights. Of course their charging sales tax in Georgia kind of messes up the deal, still confused why their charging sales tax across state lines? I have cut my purchasing from Palmetto by over 50%. The classic low numbers items like the GB's are not made anymore but almost afraid to not jump on a couple of the AR 10's and regret missing these prices. How many rifles does a man need? Already run out of vault space again and tired of dragging them in the house. Looking at a pair of the "under bed vaults" where lift quilt, door drops and rifles sitting horizontal. Just unsure if they are drop rated. All of my other upstairs safes are rated for a 10 foot fall onto concrete after floor supporting them burns.

Anyone know where to find a carry handle for that upper, I stumbled across one local for $200 still in the box. I couldn't walk away from it, I've paid more than that for a bolt.

Hehe, smart azz at work= groups of how ever many rounds you fire at 1 time, that could be a group of 18-20-246 in a Group, I like my groups close together.

Actually from waht I read the rifles perform very well with a lemon part here and there but not in a Group.

PSA has carry handles for about $69, $65 for a blemished one - shipped free when the offer is on. I got two - one blemished - one not. I can't tell them apart.

EDIT: Oops - sold out - nice quality though when in stock.

I watched these for a while but figured I didn't need or want one given FAL ownership. When they started darn near giving them away I could not resist.

Weaver vs. Picatinny - a rail is a rail on an AR. The rails on an AR15 and PA10 receiver and free float hand guard are the same.

What is the carrying handle sight height difference between AR10 and AR15? I know the length is also different. AR10 also has low rail vs high rail, PSA is low rail, would a long front sight post on AR10 front iron sight work with standard AR15 BUIS? I struggled a few days and jumped on the $299 upper/179 lower deal this evening! It is a different upper model with park finish, Nitride is sold out.

PSA has a 'registered agent' living in an apartment in Pooler, GA. I guess he handle purchase orders and receiving in Savannah or something like that. It's cut my purchasing down.....way down....

I see them selling both .308 and 7.62x51.
Both work in what I have now.
Can you not use both in the PSA?
