Does anyone have an idea what this inch magazine catch/release belong?

I think it's an early Canadian when the receivers were more metric than inch....

That's what I was thinking but the smaller appendage is too narrow for a metric receiver.

Thank you NZ L1A1 Collector. I see it will work as positioned in my photo.
I had no idea it was an original C1 part.

An issue I encountered was the C1 magazine release cross pin hole was too small for the standard L1A1/C1A1 cross pin.
I had to slightly widen the magazine release cross pin hole.

The good news is the DSA R1 receiver's cross pin entrance hole is wide enough to accept the inch cross pin screw head in order for the cross pin to be flush at the exit hole.
Receivers such as the ARMSCORP T48 and Century receivers had to be slightly widened to accommodate the inch pin head.

Lose a step and gain a step with the build.
