I have a L1A1 manufactured by CIA. This is my first L1A1 and is a great shooter! The problem is the grip around the barrel gets so hot while shooting I have to let the rifle rest and cool off.
Could this be because of the cheep grips? Can anyone recommend a different type of for stock to replace the plastic injected stock I am currently using?
Is it possible to install grips that are cut for the bi-pod? Or is this a metric thing...

Toolman,

That just means it works good!

Seriously, you need to see the PENGUIN (http://www.humpbackstock.bigstep.com/homepage.html).

I have 2 sets on metric guns, and they're great. I understand that they fit inch as well, but are a little tight.
