I am looking at a Century L1A1 and have read about the issues with some of the feed ramps. This is a picture of the one I am looking at but can't seem to find whether this is good or bad? Can't seem to find another that looks like this.

Any advise would be appreciated.

In the search box at the top of the page enter unibrow.

I did search "unibrow" but they don't look like this that is why I asked.

This is the closest I could find. Yours looks like a polished unibrow.

Looks like a unibrow that was modified in an attempt to make it run....whether it was successful or not is the question....

Along with the chamber, thereby ruining the barrel.

Not if they just knocked the outer edge of the bevel down. I had to do that to get my unibrow functioning. In addition to opening up the rails on the receiver to match the mag's lips.

To the OP, it is an out-of-spec receiver, which may or may not function. IMHO it is not an entry level FAL. YMMV

It sure doesn't look like they pulled the barrel and merely rolled the outer edge of the chamfer. It looks like they carried it into the chamber. Now, admittedly, the lighting is such that this is not definitive, but it's what it looks like to me. Something I've unfortunately seen too many times before.

I agree it is hard to tell from the photo to see how deep they went into the bevel/chamber. I know I'd definitely gauge that area before shooting that rifle.

When I polished mine I didn't go past a 1/4 into the bevel and only knocked the edge down directly where the copper marks are in the 2nd photo.
