I tried wood hand guards and grip, I think I like the plastic better.

Well,

If it were a right and proper L1A1 para it would have a cobbled on Stirling folding butt and look just a tad bit knackered.

It would be like my parents old X12 jaguar. Pretty looking but wouldnt start every other time and the longer you looked at you find yourself saying, "That doesn't look right!"

Maybe shes a Falklands kid got her Argie mums lower and her Brit da's upper. Bad mental picture but I think you get it.

Actually, only non commonwealth parts are the folding stock parts, bolt carrier, sling, and rear sight base. Everything else is Aussie with a Indian lower.

Honestly I think this thing looked pretty sweet with the wood. One of Flypapers para cheek risers and it would have been stellar :)

Fine then. When I'm done with the Aussie lower conversion I'll do it all in wood. Even with a check riser, and I'll even put a optic on it as well.

That's a awesome setup! I would love to do the same to my slr. Finding the parts is where. I need help. I absolutely love Fals / L1A1's ! I would love to add a para stock and my dream handguards. I find the Israeli FAL Handguards the best feel (for me anyways). So a para stock, Israeli FAL handguards and matching grip.

SLR's are so dreamy!!

Contact Adam762 while he still has the adapter parts available. Buy the para stock set from DSA. Buy the bolt carrier from Sarco. Buy the recoil spring set from Countershot. Fit it all together and you're done.

What rear sight base did you use? The ones TDW is selling?

Yeah. Haven't had time to get to the range yet, been working a lot of hours. I expect it to shoot too high, but will make changes as needed.

I mounted a SUIT on A standard para top cover once. It looked factory. It lives here locally; I'll see if I can't get a picture of it. Not that hard to do and I could still do it.
