If you really want one, you should go for it.

It's an old, rare pistol which means parts will be tough to find should anything break or wear out. The barrel latch spring is probably worn out or missing

Prices in years past weren't high(300ish) as there wasn't much interest in old, single shot pistols but nowadays people are asking a lot for them. Whether they are selling or not is another story

Sometimes a gun will show up in a movie and there will be a demand spike and a susequent price spike.
I'm not aware of any recent demand for old, 22 single shot pistols

Definitely won't be going for that one! It's twice the price of the one I handled recently. I do like the old and unusual stuff, and it sure qualifies as both.
