Before any other low life beats me to it....

....I would love to date your M16A1 paco.... do I need to bring flowers ? Chocolates perhaps....and most importantly....does she put out on first dates ????:biggrin::devil::devil:

OK... back to regular scheduling. I can't help on a year of manufacture. That is a lovely example however !!!! Guessing there were not too many firefights in the airport it was assigned to.. ;)

Humor is universal.
And yes, she goes all the way on the first date.
But, she came back to tell me something.

Colt M16 rifles in the 9 million range were sold to non military agencies in the late 1970's through mid 1980's. If you're really interested you could contact Colt and possibly get something in writing.

I've had 93098xx since the mid 90's, according to the FOIA request, it was made in March 1978, yours was probably around the same time.

It's a small world!

How expensive is your ammo?

When can I come visit you for a range day, or 3? :)

Like Tony said contact Colt. Since they made 9,5xx,xxx and production ended in 1982 I would guess between 1978 and 1980.

I had thought of that too but just a half dozen would do as feedin some of them looks expensive. Imagine the cost per minute when that big belt fed monstrosity starts running. Have to get her a separate cabin on the cruise ship home. And I really want the big anti-armor rocket launcher with about two dozen rounds for it. Sit it in the middle of the living room. Don't know how much this stuff costs in Belgium but whether Paco is part of the royal family or not, if he goes sideways they will have a heck of an issue.

How many did they make per month/year? My is 92687xx and came with a 14.5" upper and 4 position aluminum stock (but that stuff might not be original, though the bbl length is on the form 4)

@hueyville

We pay for the weapons, not for the artificial price due to the ban...

The working launcher costed some 500€ the cal12 subcalround an other 100€.
So, about 650dollars...

She is really an understanding wife

My wife said the same as long as she gets to watch. She's an angel, that girl. 😇 Wife and I always wanted to immigrate to Switzerland due to low crime, nice people but mostly because can walk into a gun shop and buy items similar to Paco's collection and the Swiss Alps. Now that she can't ski and I do very little climbing we may need to take another look at Belgium. Could ride my bike and bring a couple motorcycles plus Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Tour of Flanders would be nice to attend annually if didn't have an international flight attached. Wish had spent more time in the homeland of "The Cannibal" but may have to call it he homeland of "The Paco" from here on out. With a Le Tour stage end and start in Belgium this year it's a shame we are not already planning our flights, getting passes and cleaning up life details for a month in Europe. Chasing that race in a car when 15 years younger was tough and wife could do her own running. Maybe just come see the first two stages, burn up all Paco's spare ammo then head for the final week in the Alps...

Never going to Paris again. After our accidental wandering into a sharia law community am done with that city for life unless Paco goes with and have a few of the "children" with us. Of course there is a significant Muslim training/indoctrination camp (Jamaat al-Fuqra, very large facility) less than an hour from the house, another in south Georgia not counting other sects may not be hugely different as its not uncommon to see men in their Thobe and women in Niqab's walking the sidewalk of my hick town. Not seen a Burqa locally yet but a Niqab is darn close. Never saw this a single time pre-Nobama except in Europe. Have Mosques locally and beginning to see pop up in the oddest places. Hope we learn from France's mistakes before 40% or more of our larger cities are under Sharia law and cops only go in if invited. Basically they don't want cops around till some skinhead pulls one of their stunts their direction and they know how to dial 911 pretty fast.

Sorry I meseed up a nice thread but Paco likely needs some of his "children" so we can't pick him dry.

Hi,

I'm not sure Swiss wants you... Sorry to say but these cheeseguys are not the most "open minded" guys if you talk about immigration.
Since you are an " auslander", it will put you in the same situation as a fleeing Syrian refugee...

Also, since you are an "auslander", you need to find a friendly swiss guy that buys stuff for you. If you, you end up empty handed.

Also, be advice, it is the most costly country in Europe. A beer cost like 6$ in a low spot and 10$ in a hot spot.

Paris, aaaah, city of love and molotov trowing people... :D
Yep, there are quarters that suck big time. you will find those in any large city.

Anyway, always welcome in Belgium. We got chocolates (a lot), Beer (like a whoooole lot) and we got FN Herstal, Waterloo, Flanders fields, Bastogne, Royal army museum, the last post, Brugges, Atlantic Wall and so on.
You can even visit my place.
