FedX man delivered this baby to my FFL today from Classic. I think it's a keeper. Need to get out and shoot it this weekend. Problem is I'm thinking I'd like to maybe try a para stock on it..got to resist..

I always wanted one of these, but for some reason it never worked out. I think the para stock would be the cat's meow for it.

The papra stocks has the cool factor/look but are not fun to shoot. They are uncomfortable after a few rds downrange. The metal rod laying against your cheekbone and recoil gets old

This +1

Currently have a BM62 that would be a candidate for go-to rifle except that it ain't easy to mount optics, and at my age, that isn't just a luxury.............

Nice one, Earl !!

If you are still interested in the para stocks, I have two that I no longer need as I sold my BM59 and 62. PM or e-mail me for pics and price.

For shooting fixed stock is much more pleasant - Folder is not terrible but its not comfortable either. I think the best is to own both - show the gun off in the folder put on the fixed when shooting.

I've been drooling over these since I saw the email from classic.

Good price too. I paid more for my Fal than these are costing. I think the price is going to increase as time goes on.

Here are a couple of photos of my JRA BM59 (one of the ones they built using a modified M1 Garand receiver) dress out in a green laminated M1 Garand stock that I modified for use on a BM59

I would imagine they are just awaiting another shipment from JRA. They ran out of the bayonets last week but they are back in stock now.

I bought one of raexcct2 Para Stocks for it so looking to see how she looks all dressed up when I get it in. Next the para tri comp device..what do those run when found?

And still waiting on dang SARCO to ship my mags..I should have ordered from the other place that was a bit more expensive, I'm impatient as hell.

All sold out at Classic Firearms.

I sold a Para tricompensator a couple of months ago for $275. I have one left but it has the gas cylinder lock that was modified to work with the M1 Garand gas cylinder. Been trying to find a spare BM59 para gas cylinder lock to no avail.

I would have gotten one if my eyes could still focus on the front sight and the target.

I liked the first one so much I decided to give my 2nd JRA BM59 a new set of clothes. The green laminate was the first one. The camo laminate is the latest. Both are modified Garand stock sets. The camo stock has six coats of Linseed Oil on it.

Those look really nice ServiceRifle. Mine also has a new set of duds. It took a bit of adjustment but she now sports a mini skirt - a Beretta BM59 Para Stock. I'll take some pics and put them up tomorrow. Earl

Here are some photos with the new Italian para duds on her. I think she should meet the (dis)pproval of Fienstein and Schumer now:

Pistol Grip - check
Folding Stock - check
removable high capacity mag - check
muzzle device - check
bayonet lug - check
grenade launcher sights - check
bipod - check

God I love Texas...

Thanks again for the stock raexcct2!!

Very nice EarlB. Saw the pics of the new para stock. What "adjustments" did you have to make for fitting? Was it around the winter trigger?

LGS received a transfer the other day. A fully transferable Class 3 select fire BM59. Boy was it pretty. Nifty little rifle and handled like a dream.

Originally it wouldn't set down in the stock. I didn't make it work, I'm not what you call handy with stuff like that. Took it to my regular 'smith to make it right. I can't use the winter trigger with the para stock on due to the pistol grip. I've not looked at it to figure out how to fix that yet - if it can be. I'll probably always swap back to the full stock when I'm going shooting. Earl

Thanks EarlB. I bought the second folder from Raexcct2 and will have it built up on one of the two kits I'm sitting on. I was able to find the correct tri-comp for the para so one of mine will likely stay in that configuration.

Earl,

You need the winter trigger kit for the para. Standard Parts sells it. Here is the link to the kit.https://www.standardpartsllc.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=510&idcategory=26

I'll have to think about selling it. I still have a boatload of BM59 parts that I bought years ago as spares for my BM59 and BM62 before the BM59 parts kits became available so I was thinking of building another BM59.

Will do. If I can't find the correct BM59 para gas cylinder lock for the detachable tricompensator or get one made then I will sell the one that I have that is modified for the M1 Garand. I'm going to email Tim Shufflin and see if he can help.

I decided to sell as I could never find the correct BM59 gas cylinder lock to go with the para tricompensator. Sent you a PM with the price. Will take pictures later today so you can see what you are buying. Trying to consolidate (thin my herd) of guns so I can restore my 1965 Mustang fastback.

Trying to consolidate (thin my herd) of guns so I can restore my 1965 Mustang fastback.

My Dad bought a fastback my junior year in high school.

He and I worked all summer long restoring it.

Here are the only 2 photos that I have of it.

http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n33/blocksender/MustangFastback001_zpsratjprnq.jpg

http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n33/blocksender/MustangFastback002_zpslqx9gsfw.jpg

Interior color was called ivory gold or something like that, but was a goldish green with white stripes.
