View Full Version : Removing Flash Suppressor on Imbel kit

Does anyone know how to remove the (evil) flash suppressor from a metric Imbel barrel? I've tried removing the spring clip and using a wrench to turn it ccw but it seems really tight. Are they soldered on? I don't want to do something dumb, like bending the barrel. TIA

Left hand thread?
Try turning it the OTHER way after you've heated it some with a propane or MAPP torch.
What is "clockwise" in digital?
Turn it the other way. These are fastened with a left hand thread.
You can tap a 3/8" ratchet into the muzzle end and then use a little heat to break it loose. You can also use a wrench on the flat portion of the flash hider if you have one that will fit.

Oh, you mean the OTHER ccw! Thanks guys, I heated it up, turned it the correct way, and it came right off.
