12 gauge, bought one real cheap because the muzzle is out of round, will cut a couple of inches off and put on a new sight, any thoughts on where to get and do?

Brownells has the beads and taps for them.

They should have some savvy dudes to answer any questions.

It depends on what your purpose is. There are many options from the old gold bead to the new high-vis types. There used to be a "band" type that slipped on and held by a set screw, kind of ugly, but quick and dirty.
The basic bead required drilling and tapping a 3-32? hole and screwing the bead in with a special tool sold by Brownell's and others.

It you whack a couple inches off the front of the barrel, you will lose whatever choke it had. Maybe a good time to install a variable choke devise or threaded for choke tubes, but that is likely something to send the barrel out for.

Of course, there's nothing like a good old Cylinder bore for spreading things around if that's the plan.

I would go with what MAINER said. Take it to a reputable gunshop and they should be able to ream out the barrel, thread it and install a choke tube for around $100 They can also install a front sight for a little more.

Depending on the make, replacement barrels start around $200 and up.
