UPS just dropped off a couple of as new walnut stocks.
What a nice packaging job by Treeline. You can tell when a shipper cares about their product.

Individually boxed and put in a plastic bag to boot.

Just as advertised. They were obviously on M-14s that were never issued. Not a scratch on the metal and only a couple of the smallest dings to steam out. Stamps are pristine. They smell like lemon for whatever that means. One happy camper. Ready for a couple of builds that are in progress.
I think I will leave the original finish on these animals.

A pair of Ben Fs each.

Looks like the price of good M14 wood just went up.

Ouch!

I realize it sounds like a lot, but a JAE GenIII chassis is about 1800. So these are a real bargain for something that is in great shape and almost 60 years old.

Those are beautiful stock Brother art.

That's interesting and thanks for the information. I have a few "newer", used ones acquired years ago including a bizarre fat "match" one still in the plastic with the mil-spec paper with it's "cage" number or something. I think it may be a reproduction though as it is not walnut. I brought it to Riverside Lumber products here in New Orleans (before Katrina) as they specialize in all exotic wood. Several of the men there stated it was maple, which I found weird to be using for a match stock.

Anybody know about these?

Nice stocks, Art! Treeline has always been my go-to for M14 parts-- need to pick up one of his retabbed op rods fairly soon myself.
