Gary just posted this link in another thread where an Olympic Arms AR was sold for $1235 because it was pre-ban:

Makes me consider selling some of my pre-ban items.

Not California. It makes no distinction between whether something was made before or after the ban. If it's in a prohibited configuration, it doesn't matter when it was made; if it wasn't registered when the registry was open, it's illegal. If it is not banned by name and not in an illegal configuration, it can be sold to CA regardless of when it was made.

I think some of the States back east do have legal distinctions between pre and post-ban stuff.

I think the pre-ban (9/13/1994) rifles still bring a premium in Massachusetts.

Yes, the AG's ruling on "copy cats" have taken new AR recievers off gun shop floors in the state for now....lawsuit got filed yesterday but it will take years to fix if ever.

MA was the only one .. Now as noted with the AG stuff ...Maybe CT I think for rifle at least for SOME they still do pre ban ...

NY use to but not any more ..CA etc is banned by name
