they were warned as children to be good and behave, they laughed and played and said; “We have Obama to protect us, we never loose any game and will do as we wish”, and they ignored the warnings

I've seen the youtube crybaby vid before and, I just think it's incredulous for that much emotional outpour over not getting her way. I know it happens, I know she feels so "impacted" by it all. Seeing it though, is just, incredulous.

Pretty F'n funny too.

Baba Yaga is a female character in Slav culture. We are very gender sensitive with different form last names even depending on gender. No Slav would ever call Trump or compare him to baba yaga.

This is just totally unbelievably insane what is happening to our country? Its not just being divided but the f@@ked up people that populate this country. Some of the entertainment that was going to play at the inauguration are getting death threats one of the Rockets quit her job like to see how she feels about her decision in a few months after she realizes what she has done to herself . I would hope that all the big mouth dip shit Hollywood people would go to Canada maybe these A holes would follow them.

This is one of the reasons I love the 'Files. I would have had no clue. I'ts an education everytime I log on.

Always been interested in other cultures and as much as I apparently look it, I have no Slavic blood in my past.

Baba Yaga is not limited to just Slav culture

a basic translation across many mid to eastern european countries/cultures/languages is nearly universally “Forest Witch” but each culture has some differences such as some cultures very specifically identify Baba-Yaga as a trio of sisters

Col. Bat Guano is on the right track, hollywierd stretched Baba-Yaga to “The Boogeyman”, but the explanation Viggo gives to his son explains the movies bastardization of the meaning, jump to 5:50 in the video where Viggo tells him “John wasn’t exactly the Boogeyman, he was the one you sent to kill the f*cking Boogeyman”

You are mudding the water here. Although similar figures are present in many European cultures they do have own names.
Baba Yaga name is of Slav etymology, baba being old woman and yaga from protoslavic yega terror, torment.
So it doesn't translate to forest witch in English but to " Hilary Clinton". Nobody would ever use this for Donald Trump.
Hollywood explanation you quote is obviously a BS. Somebody there just figured how Slav children are being scared, but Yaga is not synonymous with boogeyman...

baba;
vicious or ugly woman
unmanly
various animals,
natural phenomena,
mushrooms
cake
pear
geographic features

without context “Baba” can be damn near anything

Yaga;
serpent
snake
witch
fury
disease
horror
shudder
chill
witch

the same with “Yaga”, without context almost anything

boogeyman becomes bugimen

This is an interesting question, how to explain.... look at your wife, is there male equivalent?
Yaga is a female essence. .. that why is so funny to have it applied to a man as some above did.
If you asking what is a male demon used to scare children I vote for Bebok... but there are many

Trump's popularity is 55% and rising, those emotional twits are the exception, not the rule - it's simply the media rallying support, by inciting the emotionally challenged - a call to tissue, it is fake news, and silly! That twit should be given a month of cold baths, and made to run 10 miles afterwards, at the crack of dawn, toughen the little shit up!

When I was a kid we were told to stay away from that guy in the car offering us candy.
So it was our own damn fault if we took the bait and got in their car.
Life was simpler back then.
