I received my second BM59 build back from Shuff. This build has a criterion barrel and a SA Garand receiver. I researched the correct markings for SA receivers that were converted by Beretta and had the engraving done by Veritas Machining. Her name is Sienna. Ciao!

Possibly Jan 14. Para is all boxed up for Shuff.:)

That wood is incredible. That is the same engraving I had Veritas do to my Beretta Danish contract receiver...perfect.

Thanks! All I did was wipe clean with mineral spirits and add three coats of boiled linseed oil.

That looks great!

I was going to go the route of getting a PB Danish Contract too - But couldn't find one. That walnut stock looks nice with good color.

PB and Breda Garand receivers look in stock. This is where I bought my PB.

Gorgeous rifle. Definitely the coolest Garand "variant".

Was the Criterion barrel a difficult/expensive modification job to do?

Shuff charges $200 to modify .308 Garand barrels to correct BM59 specs. The Standard Parts .308 barrel is $129 and the Criterion is $179.:fal:

Nice rifle, Tim is the best by far.

Oops meant Sienna. Reddish brown in Italian.

Got it, actually Sienna comes from the Italian "terra di Siena" ("earth of Siena"), a reddish pigment produced in the city of Siena during the Renaissance. Suitable name for a masterpiece of a rifle!
