I have never been crazy about the AUG but I think these look pretty neat. Be interesting to see where they price them and if they can beat Hillary's campaign to save us from the evils of Bill of Rights.

Someone needs to school the reviewer on a couple of things unrelated to the F90... correct pronunciation of Lithgow would be a start. Lithgawwww is not correct it is Lith-go. SAF never made Sterling SMGs either.

I raised an eyebrow over the Sterling comment, too.

Never a big AUG fan but I guess if the price is right I will have to have one for the Australia/New Zealand collection of service rifles I intend to have.

They can't import these as is, so they will have to come in in sporter configuration and someone here will have to convert them as well as making them 922r compliant.

I wish they would have kept the quick change barrel. Wonder why the ADF requested that change.

Single biggest source of un-needed wear and changes to zero. It was just never a great idea. Don't even start me on the issues we had mounting the M203s the first time around (wandering - 12 inches a 40mm shot- zero) and cracked damaged receivers. There was a reason we dusted off the M16/M203 combos in 2000 to be sent to the troubles in East Timor.

It sounds like a great idea but in practice it just causes more issues than it solves.

I guess that settles that. I only fired a friend's AUG around 30 years ago. I wasn't impressed with the trigger then so I didn't buy one.

I'm waiting for the F90 to become available. I have heard as early as December. Looks like lithgow got the rail right. I think the length of pull has been shortened. The only thing I do not like is the change to the mag release. I'm happy Lithgow decided to import theses.

The quick change barrel adds to the cool factor but is not very practical. With a bullpup I want as short as possible. I have read on another forum where several people chronographed different barrel lengths on Augs and found that the velocity changed very little from 16" to 20". More than likely has to do with the gas port location. If anything the accuracy would be better with a 16" then 20".
