I purchased a bare unused H&R M1 Garand receiver from Clint McKee at Fulton Armory back in 1994 and then returned it to him to build a Peerless M1 Garand using H&R parts. I requested a .308 barrel and a black laminated stock. Twenty-two years have past and it has been sitting unfired in my heated safe. It is a gorgeous rifle, but I realize I am never going to shoot it and I would like to sell it. Anybody know what the fair vale is for one of these today?

Looks like it currently specs out at $3245.
I'll bet it would sell @ $2500.

Are you crippled?

Get that rifle to rhe range!

Order up a case of ammo from Creedmoor, and put that beauty to work!

It will be worth only emotional agony otherwise.

If you want to sell it after all that, then OK.

We got GARAND on the menu at the range, Saturday and Sunday.
Be there.
I might even shoot GARAND on Thursday.
Should probably work some on that leak by the headliner, but I need TRIGGER TIME.

Shove that rifle in a case, and get your butt to Dulles Airport by Friday afternoon, and I'll have you on the trigger all weekend. You can fly home Sunday with a sore cheekbone and a (rifle you will want to keep).

Man,bring back memories of Loudoun County. Dulles would let VSP Units go on airport property about one a year and hunt with shotgun with slugs. Would go around Rt. 606 from Rt. 50 and enter property about halfway to Rt. 28. Good times.

I've got enough ammo to make your dentist squeal with glee.

Bring rifle, boots, and warm jacket.

Thanks for the offer. I have not been to the DC area for decades. I was training at Andrews AFB back in 1970. I donít think I will be flying long distance anymore or driving my car long distances. I had hope the neurosurgeons at Stanford would be able to correct the radiculopathy affecting my legs and get me back up to speed, but no such luck.

I plan to continue shooting, but I am selling off the safe queens or rifles that are not good candidates for optics.

Lotta folks sitting on nice pieces - only to be the curator/caretaker for some stranger.

Fugthatshit.

I'm doing my best to not not be in that situation. Not bitching at you. Just commiserating. I've got my own set of hurts that don't wanna stop hurting, and likely not gonna.

This-coming (2017) Camp Perry is shaping up to be the LAST Camp Perry where shooters pull targets. On top of that, they are FINALLY putting the NRA matches in front of the CMP matches on the schedule. I'm gonna try to do both, or die trying.

I gotta go get out of my monkey suit now, and get my shit laid-out so I can load-out and shoot Garands tomorrow. Who knows? I might not make it to the weekend.

My Garand-shooting buddy "abandoned" me by pulling some stupid stunt dancing on (and falling off) a table at a titty bar. Busted his leg all to hell. Goddammit.

Those Fulton Armory remans were spectacular but I'd prefer a 308 M1 for shooting.

That laminate stock looks like it needs trimming above the trigger.

Thanks. The reality is it is time to part with the safe queens and focus on what I am going to shoot the remainder of my life. I do have the original box the Fulton Armory Peerless M1 Garand came in and it is identical to the one shown in the photo you posted. I think I might pick up a few for the other rifles I plan to sell. Below is a photo of the packed SAR-4800 I just sold to a FAL Files member in Arizona. I added cardboard partitions to beef up the box. I also made an outer box to protect the Springfield box.

BTW, I talked with Clint Jr. at Fulton Armory today and he said demand for their Peerless M1 Garand is strong and I should not have any problem getting $2500.00 for my rifle.
