Thank you Jeff and Bula Defense Systems.

Just picked up a couple of recievers from our last group buy along with barrels and a few small parts.
Absolutely perfect as usual.
I am very excited about putting these together after I get some Fall projects finished up around the house.

Are they easy to get small parts from? I got in on that group buy too.

ArtBanks

Seem to be. I picked up a bunch of parts from them at Camp Perry this year and ordered a bunch more that were delivered with the receivers.
I understand they are going to have a parts list and prices posted in the sponsors area of the TFL soon.

Looking at getting going " maybe ". Parts are all set out and barrel vise is waiting. Haven't decided on exactly which muzzle devices are going on these yet.

Finished adding small parts and dropped them into a couple of my shop test stocks. Introduced the girls to the sunshine and ran 40 rnds of ZQI though each rifle. Easily maintained the black on an SR-1 at 100yds. Bula Defense Systems has come through again with great products for the home rifle builder.

Outstanding work is the norm for you not and exception. Post a pic. sometime of your "work station" as to table size and thickness, bbl. vise and how you secure it, and other things used in assy. of these fine weapons.

Are the TRW and Bula bolts pretty much the same in the quality department?

Are the TRW and Bula bolts pretty much the same in the quality department?

Yes they are. You may even find that the Bula Defense bolts are closer to the exact center point of spec. Bula bolts are also available with optional lug placement, from -.006 to +.006 in .002 increments so we can fit them in pretty much any receiver/barrel combination without a lot of, or at times, any lapping.
For those of us that enjoy building these critters Bula Defense Systems has made available an armorer's bolt kit which includes 6 bolts, 3 on either side of spec so we can find which provides the best headspace and order just that specific bolt.

I picked up one of these kits at Camp Perry during the games this Summer.

Due to the headspace issue related to chrome lined barrels I was going with a non chromed or SS tube short chambered and was deciding which bolt to get.

Great way to go. Can't beat reaming to the headspace you want.
I like to cut mine between 1.632 and 1.633.

Thought I would toss in a photo of the Bula Defense Systems armorer's bolt kit. Pretty cool.

If those are test stocks,I'd love to see what you would consider presentation grade stocks.

The walnut stocks in the earlier post are presentation grade.
The birch test stocks are pretty nice looking too, but they are what I use for test firing rifles because they have exceptionally tight fits which they have maintained over the years.

Those bolts and parts look great and love your rifles Mr. Banks. I've been waiting to get my hands on some Bula parts since SHOT but can't find them and their web site doesn't have a cart. I missed Camp Perry this year. Had too much work on the farm to take care of. What's TFL ?

Got out for a little fun with XM21 ver 2 ser #3 today.
Decided that I do not like the Arms 22 with the XM21, levers get in the way of single loading from the left. Changed out to TPS medium after her outing and moved the scope aft about 5/8 ". Also changed the TNVC riser for a TAC-PRO. What a beautiful day for playing out in the sunshine. I will take some photos of her with the mentioned changes the next time I get out with her.

For anyone interested, Jon Wolfe and M-14 parts are not an outlet for Bula Defense System parts.
No excuse not to have the best.
