There are advantages to living in Kentucky, limited run of Patton's "Armored Diesel". Goes well with 1945 barrel date Springfield.

Not only is that a beautiful rifle, but that is an interesting bottle of booze joining it on the chair. I am not really a big drinker of hard liquor, but with a name like that I would definitely have to try some. What is the availability?

How much for the chair? I think I have a matching sofa. That is some nice wood on the Garand.

The Spirits is made by Boundary Oak Distillery in Radcliff KY. Only way you can get it as of now is to go the the Distillery and buy it.

I used to be able to get Rommel's Rum at the Class VI store while stationed in Germany in the 80s.

Wished I'd saved a couple of bottles:facepalm:

There is going to be a wad of one off whiskey blends soon enough in Ky. The master distiller at jim beam of Clermont quit last month and took several people including the top two maintenance guys with him. He's working at a distillery in bardstown that will specialize in making any recipe whiskey you bring them. Guy knows his trade like a serious heart attack...did'nt need what the japs were paying him and he really was at odds with the japanese management on how to make good whiskey and keep the equipment and quality together.
Surprisingly Knob Creek is not a bad whiskey , but I much prefer Booker as it's the only whiskey that they barely mess with ( no sugar & blend before bottling ) . Was at the clermont wharehouse a few weeks ago and the unionista forklift guys ram rodded a pallet of Jim-yucky-beam apple. Nothing like having to work in a river of thick sickly sweet off apple smelling goo.

I love that stock Brother Phil. Very nice. The stock on my M1 looks as if it was at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Iwo Jima AND Okinawa. But, it's the one it came with so I'm sticking to it.
