It's new to me, looks like many others out there, but this one is mine and I just had to share.
Came with green plastic so I installed wood for the classic look and tossed on a Z24 because my eyes are old. Fired it this morning to verify operation and zero the sights and much to my amazement I had to make no adjustments. None at all. This was at 50 and should score in the rings at 100 with next to zero adjustment needed to make it perfect.
A paddle mag catch install is slated for as soon as I get the parts but I'm not sure what to do about the finish. I'd like to keep it in park but don't know if anyone can park the area that will need finished or not. Investigation is needed.
All numbers match and to keep it that way I removed the original black painted metal from the wood butt stock and installed the original numbered metal.
Thanks for looking.

Beautiful rifle and the wood is outstanding. Going to dig out my leather sling and put scope back on my 91 after seeing this.

Thanks. This rifle came with a sling but it's still wrapped up in the box. This one I had from a previous rifle and kept.
In fact, all the original plastic and accessories that came with the rifle are still in the box. Even the mag.

That wood really complements the green finish.

I retract my post on the other site when you were asking about "to paint or not to paint". I said just do what you want with it.

I'd leave that one just as it is...forget about the paddle mag. Seeing better pics of this rifle really shows the original park is in excellent shape.

Looks great!

By the way I noticed you have one of the smooth pistol grips. Those scratches can be sanded out and then buffed to look new.

Yeah, the rifle has been fired but not much and is in like new condition. Came in the original box, probably lived there a good portion of it's life instead of getting dinged in a safe.
I like the grip for it's character so will likely leave it as is. The wood and park on the wood's metal pieces (I should say "forearm") isn't perfect so the used look on the grip kind of matches.
The wood, BTW, came from RTG as unissued surplus some 15 years ago and this grip actually came with it, IIRC. I knew then I should have bought a stack of the stuff at $19.95.
Before I located the grip, which I knew I had somewhere, I ordered another one from RTG. When it arrives I'll choose the best of the two according to how it looks with the rifle and use it.

Thanks, 21HK, for your input. Part of me would like to leave it as is, the other part craves the originality and function of the paddle.
