Just got the full size back a couple weeks ago, I've had the bush model for a couple of years.

The Bush model has all GI parts and a Criterion non-chrome lined barrel.

Full size model is all GI except for the Smith Ent receiver. Barrel is a 1963 HR NOS.

Thanks Tim!

Eyegun,

Beautiful rifles. When you say NOS barrel do you mean new in tube? If so got anymore?

It was a NOS but no tube.

I have some other parts and another Smith Ent receiver- everything but the barrel. I was thinking of a lightweight 18" build.

Any thoughts?

Why, are parts so dang expensive for an M1 And hard to get, seems like there should be parts everywhere? That is why I never got into them.

That pair look Great!!

NOS parts used to be plentiful but I think most of them have been used up by aftermarket rifle builders like Century and Springfield Armory Inc. or just scrapped as obsolete/not needed when the rifles were retired. Militaries that used the Garands discontinued their use a long time ago even as secondary weapons and governments just don't care about getting back spent taxpayer money and don't want their citizens armed anyway.

Wow those are some really nice rifles!

If you want to fill the selector cut-out on the full-size, I recommend the Hawks dummy selector kits, they look great & are easy to install.
