Aside from the cheesy method of charging the weapon, they seem to be good shooters. Not sure if Bushmaster will still warranty them though, how much is the price on it?

Asking $800.00 / No. not that fancy.

In my area, that would be a good price, as long as the bore is good and it's not beat to shit.

Is the barrel threaded?
Can you find some basic spare parts?

The only experience I have is when I was a kid, my dad's buddy had one and he brought it out to the house to shoot. It was interesting, and for a 12 year old kid, pretty cool. LOL

I've had a couple over the years and was never particularly impressed. As far as modern bullpups go, it's fit was rather poor, imo. On the other hand, my sampling was either one or two.

If you just want to burn money on a somewhat cool and mediocre gun, go for it. But if you want a modern bullpup, there are much better choices. Each has it's pros and cons - the Tavor being the newest. The Aug being the classic. The FN 2000 falling somewhere in between.

Now as far as weird bullpups, I think the Gwinn/Bushmaster Arm pistol would be more collectible.

I have never used a Bushmaster M17s, but going by others' reports over the years, it is, eh, ok. However, the basic design is fairly interesting, and K&M Arms (http://kmarms.com/products.html) started producing an improved version a couple years ago, after getting his start modifying Bushmaster rifles. The K&M version appears to get decent reviews (http://bullpupforum.com/index.php?board=49.0), and its factory trigger is said to be really good.
