The Russian and Bulgarian kits come up occasionally on www.akfiles.com/forums/

It would probably be cheaper to buy an Arsenal Krinkov pistol or carbine rather than try and find a Krinkov parts kit.

I have an Arsenal 5.56 Krinkov pistol and a 5.45 Krinkov carbine that I am getting ready to sell. Both are new in the box.

Barrels are almost non-existent.. You will probably have to find someone to custom make one.

Can't cut one either unless it has 1:6 twist

Cutting down a 16" barrel is debatable. There have been several threads on the subject over at the AK files.

The Military Arms Channel has a video on this. Pretty much says you need to get a qualified gunsmith to do a proper recrown and then there is no problems with the 1-8" twist of the 16 inch barrel cut down to SBR size.

X2 on the AKfiles or AKforum Marketplace. This is where I found my 86 Tula Kit (Russian). 75% of the time here lately, the kits I've seen are selling with barrels. If looking for a Russian AK74U kit you'll more than likely end up with an 86 Tula kit that r-guns was selling not long ago. UAO85 and Bluejack barrels are profiled for the 86 Tula oversized front trunnion and are the original 1-6 twist (not that it matters). So, that's your barrel choices.

Here is a thread comparing the two: http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=229156

Gunbroker is also a good alternative if the above places show no results.

As far as the 1-8 barrel cut & crown, DIY vs PRO goes. It's been beat to death over at the AKfiles forum. The key holing issue is basically a big fat myth. I also have a Arsenal Bulgarian Krink 74u with the 1-8 twist so I can speak from first hand experience. Yes, It's suppressed.

Can't help you today. But this kit was only $199.00 back in the day. A very handy weapon. Great choice to SBR.

I have an N92 pap I just sent my tax stamp in for, but it's not a true krink, my pap is going to be my bump in the night, night stand gun. I want a 74 to model a true krink

I've been checking Gunbroker for Krinkov kits and the prices are ridiculous. Anywhere from $1500-1900 for a kit without a barrel.

It would be cheaper to buy a new Arsenal SLR-104UR 5.45x39mm Rifle, strip off the parts and install on your SBR receiver, cut down the barrel to the proper length, and then sell off the stripped receiver.

Original Krinkov barrels are impossible to find. There are two Krinkov barrels for sale on Gunbroker now. One is US made:

and the other is converted from an original AK barrel.
