View Full Version : Franchi Alcione 12 ga O/U - possible auction here

Can someone give me a realistic selling price for this O/U please? Gun only in very nice condition but no box or papers.

Gonebroker has a few but seem to be different variables that I am missing to get a feel for true value.

I dont know much about franchi O/U's...
But curious about barrel length and chokes ?
I've never seen an adjustable butt plate on an O/U except for comp guns,,trap/sheet/sporting clays models.

26" barrels with interchangeable choke tubes. I only have the set that is installed and need to double check, but I am 90% sure it is a full and a modified.

I would say 850 or so.

26 inch barrels are out of fashion, and most buyers will not want the adjustable buttplate.

The adjustable butt plate as mentioned earlier implies competition use, and high round count.

Thanks for the info. I am debating with myself on sending this one to a good home.

It did not work for the purpose I bought it for, but dayum it sure is pretty sitting in the shotgun safe :)

It is a good shotgun, that is for certain.

I'm thinking it is time for this to go now. Another dove season is almost over and it is not for me.

In re-reading this thread, I just noticed I did not clarify my "it did not work for my purpose" comment.

I bought it for dove hunting as most of my buddies use an O/U. They look cool and I never had one so I bought it. The stock drop does not come up to my shoulder/eye alignment though and I shoot over the birds almost everytime. I went back to shooting an 870 Wingmaster (one of which I have shot since I was a teenager) and I am back to being a "wingmaster" myself :)

There is NOTHING wrong with this shotgun. It is truly a beautiful piece, but it just does not fit me and I can use the money and the safe space for better purposes if any of you guys have an interest.
