One happy camper here in Connecticut. Jeff and Bula have done it yet again. My photos do not do them justice. Just picked these babies up at my FFL. We all need projects.

Parts started arriving for a couple of Bula Defense builds to add to my collection.
Jeff and Bula are making some of the nicest looking M14 parts available.
Hand salute to Bula.

The logo is awesome in my opinion.

Jeff even sent along a couple of do it yourself hammer forged gas cylinder kits for those that think they are handy with a drill press and a file. Humor.

Art,

Who did you order these parts from? I went to the Bula Forge web page and there was no way to order there.

Hmmm,

Would love to see the sight lines once stocked. Looks you might need a lie cheek riser?

I have been getting stuff direct from Bula for review for about a year now. They will soon be marketed by Brownell's and possibly Sarco.

Totally agree. This photo is of XM21s from last year with the one piece rail fitted to machined cutouts in the receivers. I generally use adjustable cheek risers on my rifles depending on desired use.
Whata hobby. The new system where the rail is actually part of the receiver is 5/16ths lower and I am excited.

Just couldn't sit around admiring these chunks of metal.
Popped down in my shop and installed the barrels and headspaced to aproximately 1.6325.

Those are amazing, sweet and interesting! It is great to hear that someone is still cranking out M-14 parts.

Bula Defense Systems are making all parts for the M14 except a muzzle device and rear sight assemblies.
I have built a bunch of these type of rifles over the years, but none that have gone together with little or now fitting required. All parts including the receivers are right on the money.

Beautiful day to take the new girls out for their first visit to the sunshine. The brass dings on the old Bushnell scope are 40 years old from a mini 14.

They are my memories of the 60s too. My first issued M14 was Feb, 1966 at Parris Island SC. Been in love with them ever since.

Did you use a cheek riser?

Eventually all my scoped M14s have cheek risers.

As some of you know, I have been building consecutive ser# M14s for awhile now. I have two sons that are ex military and each will get one.
First photo is Ser# 2 and Ser#3 from a group buy at Team14. James River/Bula Forge receivers.
Second photo is of recent builds on Bula Defense Systems version 2 XM21s Ser# 2 and Ser#3.
Third photo is Bula Forge version 1 XM21s Ser# 3 and Ser#4 from last year.

I'm glad someone can get parts from Bula. Hell I live in the same State as Bula and can't get them to answer an email or talk on the phone. At SHOT the had complete rifles and said they'd be coming soon. I tried recently to find out when and where I could buy a complete rifle no answer. I asked about parts, nothing. Oh well my money spends elsewhere

Soon is a very relative time.
If you are going to be at Camp Perry in the end of July, Jeff tells me he will have the full compliment of Bula parts at his table.

Update.

Ser #2 has just accepted a Leupold MK4 LRT 8.5 - 25 and a new observation is making me very happy.
The way the rail on these rifles is separated, for those of us that single load, a new rnd can be snapped into the mag with your left fingers " under " the scope. This advantage is fantastic for the way I shoot the scoped XM21.
Bula Defense is really looking out for the long range prone shooters. OooooH Raaaaa!

When I gave up Harleys 17 years ago I jumped into my other hobbies whole " HOG". I bought a 1999 Mustang Cobra, already have 26K on it. Lives in the garage most of the time just like my bikes did.
I don't spend as much time or money with my rifles as I did with motorcycles but I seem to collect what I want. I think it is a matter of focusing energy on desires.
It's all fun.
