Was looking for one of the Greek surplus 10 pocket Garand cartridge belts like CMP used to sell, but no luck. The USGI ones I've found seem to be priced more for collectors. Anybody have suggestions on a good repro one that will actually stand up to use? Thanks

there are some vendor that sell repros.

I got 2 of them a while ago.

Try googling for such things and see what comes up.

Olongapo outfitters makes nice kit, but if you're looking for original you can pick up a nice Korean war dated green belt for a lot cheaper then the earlier khaki ones. I would go those before a reproduction.

Not a repro, but I just saw a Brownells ad that showed a 10 pocket affair made for holding Garand clips, kinda a throw over your shoulder thing, like a haversack. Looked well made.

I remember Smith and Edwards in Utah used to have heaps of garand style cartridge belts. If that is not the case anymore, at least I got them while the getting was good.

$19.95

The standard 10-pocket with cartridge belt as used during WWII to carry .30-06 ammo for the M1 Garand and M1903 Springfield rifles. Each belt has 10 individual pockets which can hold two 5 round stripper clips or one M1 Garand 8 round clip of ammo. The pocket flaps are secured with typical lift-the-dot fasteners. Belts are adjustable for waist size, and each belt has many metal grommets for attaching G.I. bayonet scabbards or other items of field gear. Nicely marked "US" on the front pocket. Belts are made from a heavy web material, dyed the proper greenish/khaki color. Our belts are in new condition, of recent manufacture to copy exactly the old original belts.

I sometimes buy stuff from "At The Front" online. It ain't cheap but it's good stuff. Sometimes they have seconds or defects. Not at the moment however.

Their belt is surprisingly pricey. No doubt due to the labor involved in making them now days.

I second "At The Front" and also add "What Price Glory" if you are looking for a M1923 Mounted cartridge belt.
