View Full Version : M1903 rear sight marked 'OL'...?

Just loaded up on small parts from Numrich to restore a few M1903s. Rear sight leaf assembly marked OL on the back of sight leaf, spring base and rear of slide part of sight. Any ideas? Aftermarket junk? Neither Joe Poyer's or JC Harrison's book mention OL mark stamp. My stock 1931 rifle has no markings in these places.

Also, upper band has 'H' stamped on bottom of bayonet lug. Any ideas here also? I can email pics, but may take a few days.

Thanks M1903 gurus!

Did that have anything to do with the flatware company? Thanks for the quick response also.
