Last week I got around to working on a few receivers that are on the 2016 build list. These are all Beretta units. A simple shot of the progression of parkerizing in my little work space. Bottom one has been degreased. Middle one was bead blasted with copper slag media. (it was on sale at Princess Auto). Top one had just been removed from it's oil bath after a short dip in the parking soup! I use the Brownell's Manganese solution to great success.

If you can boil a hot dog you can parkerize a receiver. Shlomo and I used to use Black Manganese Park solution from Shooter's Solutions. Bead blast using regular silicone beads, was a bit slow but conservative. A dip in Lacquer Thinner to degrease, then into the park tank.

The hardest part of the whole process was getting whats-his-face from Shooter's Solutions off the phone after ya ordered the stuff. Nice guy but he'll talk yer ear off.

Anyway, good job looks great from where I'm sitting ...

If they are Beretta ones, are you going for the greenish tint on them?

I have done about 50 Breda and Beretta receivers and only a few have had any green appear. If I could figure out what causes those to be different than the others I would be almost rich!
